Oh what shall I say about Our Lord’s Church tonight?
Only that her shepherds are more lost than the sheep.
Where are the shepherds who will cry out for the sake of the sheep?
They have been lulled by platitudes, and have gone to sleep.
The words of those gathered
Reflected no change of heart,
And saints and angels weep.
Where is the one who will call for a reckoning?
Where is the one who will demand an accounting?
Alas those who have spoken out have been silenced,
And those who planned to speak have been warned.
What then shall come of this?
I do not know the mind of God,
But angels gather clothed in armor,
And I fear their instructions are –
Give no quarter.
